A Transfer Tax is the tax imposed on any mode of transferring the ownership of a real property, either through sale, donation, barter, or any other mode.
1. Tax clearance certificate of real property taxes from the City Treasurer’s Office
2. Certificate Authorizing Registration from the BIR
3. Official receipt of the BIR (for Documentary Stamp Tax)
The Transfer Tax is to be paid to the duly Authorized City or Municipal Treasurer located within the Revenue District Office (RDO) where the property is located (see list of RDO below).
Varies from 0.5% to 0.75% of either the Fair Market Value (FMV) or the Gross Selling Price, whichever is higher.

How to compute FMV:
FMV = Zonal Value x Floor Area
Within sixty (60) days from the date of execution of the Deed or from the date of decedent’s death.
